Step into the spirit of the holidays with the Nacogdoches Christmas Tour of Homes, presented by The Daily Sentinel. This event returns Saturday, December 13, from 1 to 5 p.m., inviting guests to explore beautifully decorated homes across the oldest town in Texas. This year’s tour features an exciting mix of locations, from historic landmarks to charming family residences, each uniquely adorned for the Christmas season. Guests will have the rare opportunity to visit the SFA President’s Home, a stately 1957 neoclassical revival residence now home to President Neal Weaver and First Lady Kristi Weaver, who have decked the halls with welcoming holiday charm. Also featured is the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity House, a grand 1929 Colonial Revival mansion originally designed by architect Shirley Simons and later remodeled by Raiford Stripling. Recently restored, the home showcases the beauty of its historic architecture while blending tradition with a renewed sense of pride and preservation. Rounding out this year’s lineup are several distinctive private homes showcasing the variety and character of Nacogdoches architecture, including a mid-century home filled with vintage holiday collections and a country estate brimming with themed trees and festive displays. From traditional decorations and sparkling lights to historic craftsmanship and modern touches, each stop on the tour captures the magic of Christmas in its own unique way. Tickets ($25) are available now and can be purchased in advance at the Nacogdoches Visitors Center in downtown Nacogdoches or on the day of the event at any of the participating homes. Each ticket includes a map of this year’s featured locations to help guide visitors along their holiday journey. All proceeds benefit Friends of Historic Nacogdoches, Inc. and their mission to preserve and promote Nacogdoches history.
