Nacogdoches Police Log: Arrests Made in Resisting, Drug Possession Cases Amid Busy 24 Hours

Nacogdoches, TX – December 8, 2025 – The Nacogdoches Police Department (NPD) handled a total of 57 incidents over a 24-hour period from 6 a.m. on December 6 to 6 a.m. on December 7, ranging from routine traffic stops and alarms to more serious offenses involving violence and controlled substances. Among the highlights were two arrests for resisting arrest—one involving a deadly weapon—and a drug bust during a traffic stop.

In one of the day’s most notable events, officers responded to a warrant service at 1404 Dolph St. around 9:35 a.m. on December 6 (Incident P25-27048). According to the report, the subject turned and produced a weapon before attempting to flee. After a struggle, the individual was apprehended and charged with resisting arrest or transport with a deadly weapon (a third-degree felony) and evading arrest with a prior conviction (a state jail felony). Officer J. Collins handled the case, which resulted in an arrest.

Later that evening, at approximately 9:40 p.m., a traffic stop at 600 W Main St. led to the discovery of a controlled substance (Incident P25-27068). Officer J. McBrayer conducted a vehicle search after observing a violation and arrested the operator on charges of possession under Health and Safety Code 481.115. The suspect was transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

Early the next morning, around 1:58 a.m. on December 7 (Incident P25-27093), officers encountered a suspicious person in an intoxicated state at 2100 Hollywood St. The individual resisted arrest, leading to charges of resisting arrest, search, or transport (a Class A misdemeanor) and public intoxication (a Class C misdemeanor). Officer P. Wall managed the incident, which also ended in an arrest and transport to jail.

Assault reports added to the day’s activity. At 4:30 p.m. on December 6 (Incident P25-27056), police investigated a disturbance at 1425 Dolph St. where known individuals assaulted each other. The case, classified as a Class A misdemeanor under Penal Code 22.01, remains under investigation by Officer T.L. Walker. A similar assault call followed shortly after at 1500 Dolph St. (Incident P25-27057), also handled by Walker.

Other significant calls included a theft at 412 E Main St. around 5:06 p.m. (Incident P25-27058) and a disturbance at the same location later that evening (Incident P25-27062). Animal-related issues surfaced as well, with reports of animal cruelty at Memorial Hospital (Incident P25-27050) and an animal problem at Belk (Incident P25-27051).

The majority of incidents were routine, including multiple law alarms (e.g., at Ludco Inc., R&K Distributors, and CBTx Insurance), traffic stops, noise complaints, suspicious persons or vehicles, welfare checks, and found property. For instance, officers recovered lost items at Carpenter Elementary School twice (Incidents P25-27073, P25-27074, and P25-27101), which were taken for safekeeping.

Minor accidents occurred at intersections like E Main St. and South St. (Incident P25-27047) and North St. and Houston St. (Incident P25-27061). Reckless driver reports came in at SW Stallings Dr. and S Fredonia St. (Incident P25-27055) and 100 E Main St. (Incident P25-27071). Criminal trespass warnings were issued at locations such as 216 Bowie St. (Incidents P25-27054 and P25-27070), 1000 N University Dr. (Incident P25-27065), and 1528 E Austin St. (Incident P25-27077).

NPD also addressed a shoplifter at 4810 North St. (Incident P25-27052), disorderly conduct at 3205 N University Dr. (Incident P25-27063), and a parking problem at 520 E Pilar St. (Incident P25-27060). Extra patrols were requested at 1923 Coleman St. (Incident P25-27075) and 721 Barker St. (Incident P25-27081), while noise complaints were logged at various spots including 1411 North St., 113 E California St., 528 Tangleberry St., and 321 Old Tyler Rd.
