Kelvin Floyd Wade, 54, of Nacogdoches, was born in Alexandria, Louisiana to the late Charles and Eila (Cuff) Wade. He grew up in Alexandria amongst his family, his siblings: WaTona, Teresa, and Richard, many loving cousins, and friends. He graduated from Bolton High School with the class of 1990, where he was active in band.

Kelvin met his loving wife, Patty, through Eharmony (a story he loved telling) during Labor Day weekend in 2009. They married on July 31st, 2010, spending the remaining 15 years, 1 month, and 6 days together.

Kelvin’s additional proudest moments from his life include his daughter Danielle getting married in 2022, and his granddaughter Avery being born in September 2024.

Kelvin enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, watching the LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints, Houston Astros, and attending SFA sporting events. Kelvin was known to many as Kelly, Mr. HeyMan, and was a great friend. He was an active member of Timber Creek Church, becoming a part of the Dream Team, Becoming Man, Live Oaks, and was an usher. He leaned on the support of East Texas Alliance of Hope cancer support group.

Kelvin is survived by his loving wife, Patty (Ripper) Wade (of Nacogdoches); daughter, Danielle and her husband Andrew (of Navasota); his granddaughter Avery; sisters WaTona and her husband Marty (of Alexandria, La.), and Teresa and her husband Rick (of Rockwall); brother Richard and his wife Wanda (of Alexandria, La.); many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members, and friends made throughout his life.

Kelvin is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Eila (Cuff) Wade, mother-in-law Shirley Ripper, sister and brother-in-law Cathy and Jeffrey Boulware, sister-in-law Jerri Kay Ripper, nephew Seth Aaron Ripper, and his grandparents and great-grandparents.

Kelvin had a favorite quote that he kept close to heart: “The devil whispers, you cannot withstand the storm. The warrior replies, “I am The Storm.”

Serving as Pallbearers are Corbin Wade, Nathan Sheroke, Jeremy Charvoz, Gabe Lindsay, Ethan Ripper and Seth Ripper.

Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Wade, Marty Wells, Rick Sheroke, Andrew Duncan, Eddie Joe Ripper, Greg Ripper ,  Al Ripper, Thomas Boulware and Steven Nerren.
