A 38-year-old Nacogdoches man was booked into the county jail on Tuesday afternoon following two misdemeanor charges filed by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office.
Joshua Blaine Lampin, listed as homeless, was taken into custody at 4:27 p.m. on November 5. He faces a Class A misdemeanor charge for possession of a dangerous drug under Texas Health and Safety Code 483.041, and a Class B misdemeanor for allegedly displaying a wrong, fictitious, altered, or obscured license plate under Transportation Code 504.945.
Both offenses were recorded within minutes of each other, according to booking records. Lampin remains confined at the jail as of Thursday morning. Bond amounts and court dates have not yet been released.
The arrest adds to ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address drug-related offenses and vehicle compliance violations across the county.
