Nacogdoches Police Handle 83 Calls in 24-Hour Period, Including Multiple Drug Arrests and Evading Case
Nacogdoches, TX — The Nacogdoches Police Department responded to 83 calls for service between 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025, and 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, according to the department’s daily media summary report.
Among the notable incidents were four arrests, two felony-level theft investigations, multiple marijuana possession cases, and one driver who led officers on a brief pursuit before being taken into custody.
Arrestsests and Charges
- A criminal trespass call at 1720 Powers St. ended with an arrest after the suspect repeatedly refused to leave the property despite multiple requests. The individual was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on a Class B misdemeanor charge (Incident P25-26186).
- During a pedestrian check near Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and S. Shawnee St., officers arrested a subject for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces and failure to identify/giving false information, both Class B misdemeanors (P25-26212).
- A traffic stop in the 1300 block of South St. resulted in the rear-seat passenger being arrested for possession of marijuana after officers detected a strong odor coming from the vehicle (P25-26215).
- Shortly before midnight, officers attempted a traffic stop near the 800 block of Home Ave. The driver accelerated, turned off the vehicle’s lights, and tried to flee, but was quickly stopped. The driver was arrested for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle, a Class B misdemeanor (P25-26234).
- An early-morning warrant service in the 200 block of Muller St. resulted in another arrest (P25-26240).
Thefts and Property Crimes
Police investigated two separate theft reports:
- An unidentified suspect stole merchandise from the Chick-fil-A at 4501 North St. The case is being investigated as a state-jail felony due to the value of the items taken (P25-26187).
- A second theft was reported in the 2000 block of Durst St. (P25-26201).
Officers also handled reports of criminal mischief, mail tampering, found property, and lost property throughout the day.
Traffic and Routine Activity
Nacogdoches officers conducted dozens of traffic stops, responded to multiple reckless-driver complaints, assisted with minor accidents, and stalled vehicles, and performed welfare checks and extra patrols in various neighborhoods. Several law alarms and suspicious-person/vehicle calls were investigated and cleared without incident.
Mental-health-related calls, juvenile issues, and civil standbys also kept patrol units busy into the early morning hours.
