NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Stephen F. Austin State University has been awarded a $134,200 grant through the Data-to-Action for Parenting Students Grant program.
The grant is administered by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in partnership with the Urban Institute, a nonprofit research organization that provides data and evidence to advance upward mobility and improve the well-being of families and communities.
The competitive Data-to-Action for Parenting Students Grant supports colleges and universities across Texas in developing data-driven strategies to better understand and serve parenting students.
“Through this initiative, SFA will strengthen resources, improve retention and expand success pathways for students who balance academics with parenting responsibilities,” said Dr. Veronica Beavers, associate dean of students – Student Development and Access Services. “We are proud to continue building a campus where all students and their families can thrive.”
