Texas Department of Transportation – Mill and Inlay Work on US 259 Begins Next Week

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY – Work to mill and inlay a portion of US 259 north of Nacogdoches is expected to begin next week. 

Approximately 3.28 miles of road between Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 698 and State Highway (SH) 204 will be resurfaced. Minden, Louisiana-based Madden Contracting Company was awarded the contract for the work. 

To minimize disruption to school traffic, work will only occur in the school zone between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. 

Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by mid-November.

Drivers should stay alert for lane closures and changing traffic patterns in the area.
