Local authorities are searching for Syndey Alvers a white male who is 88 years of age, who was last seen in the 4000 block of Cr. 350 in the Chireno area. Alvers walked away from his residence yesterday afternoon and was last seen on foot wearing a white shirt with red lettering, blue jeans and had on house shoes. Alvers suffers from dementia and has not been heard from or seen by family members since around 4:30 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
After being notified of the missing person around 1:30 pm today, the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. An immediate search began for Alvers that started early this afternoon. At this time, Alvers has not been found. We are seeking the public’s help. If anyone has seen Alvers walking in the Chireno community since he has gone missing, please call our dispatch at 936-559-2600.
At this time the following agencies are on scene searching the area for Mr. Alvers. NCSO, Texas Department of Public Safety, Chireno VFD, Melrose VFD, Swift- Shady Grove VFD, Martinsville VFD , Hudson Rescue and with the help of many community members.
