The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office is aware of scam calls being placed to local residents in which scammers are claiming to be deputies attempting to collect payments on loans.
One number the calls are coming from it 936-587-6285.
The NCSO will never attempt to collect payments from individuals.
If a call seems at all suspicious, hang up and look up the agency phone number to call and confirm whether whoever contacted you is actually a representative of who they claim to be with.
