Nacogdoches Burn Ban

Nacogdoches County Commissioners issued a burn ban during Tuesday’s regularly scheduled meeting. The ban prohibits outdoor burning in unincorporated parts of the county for 90 days unless lifted sooner.

The ban does NOT apply to outdoor cooking provided the grill or smoker is placed on a concrete, gravel or dirt surface at least 5 feet away from any combustible materials.

Violations of the ban are a Class-C misdemeanor.
