The Lamp-Lite Playhouse and Community Theatre announces its GALA for the 52nd SEASON of “NEW” CLASSICS, Saturday, August 24, 2024, 6:30 pm, at Lamp-Lite Theatre, 4210 Lamp-Lite Lane, Nacogdoches, Texas. The entire EAST TEXAS community is invited to the 52nd Season Catered Reception, Retrospective of the 2023-24 HISTORIC Season, Membership Meeting, and Evening of Entertainment.
The evening will begin with a reception catered by Merci’s Catering at 6:30 pm, during which time guests may peruse the productions being presented for 2024-25 and purchase their 2024-25 Season passes. The passes are the ORIGINAL Flex Ticket and may be utilized however the patron wishes to use them. Each PASS includes six tickets that may be used for any regular season performances September 2024 through May 2025. Prices are $80.00 Regular Adults, $65.00 Senior Adult (60+), and $40.00 Student/Child.
Plaques for audience chairs will also be available to purchase for a $75.00 donation to the Building/Air Conditioning Fund. New Lamp-Lite shirts, created by Lamp-Lite Player Nancy Yarbrough of Downtown Arts, will also be available for purchase during the GALA.
Beginning at 7:15 pm, Lamp-Lite Vice-President Ken Untiedt will conduct a short ANNUAL Members Meeting, followed by entertainment by Lamp-Lite Troupe Members. Each director will each present a brief synopsis of the play they are directing.
The 2024-2025 SEASON of “NEW” CLASSICS includes the premiere of YES, WE DELIVER, TOO, the reprisal of the perennial holiday favorite THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, the reprisal of HELLO, DOLLY!, and productions of three more classic plays: THE LION IN WINTER, BLACK COMEDY, and MOUSETRAP.
