Mayor Randy Johnson has announced that he will not seek another term as Mayor of Nacogdoches. Johnson, who is serving a second term as mayor and who first took office in 2023, will complete his term before retiring in May, 2027.

“It is an absolute honor to serve as mayor of my hometown,” he said. “I’m grateful to the people of Nacogdoches for the opportunity to serve our city during such an exciting time. I look forward to finishing my term and placing the leadership of our city in very capable hands.”
