Maule, now serving his second term as the council member representing the Northwest Ward, was first elected to city council in 2023.
Maule told NacNewsNow.com, “I’ll be a full-time mayor. I’m going to open up a mayor’s office at city hall where I can sit down with people and see what they want for Nacogdoches. I will be an ambassador for our town.”
While the election date for the city of Nacogdoches election is not until May 1, 2027, the state’s general election is coming right up on November 3, 2026, and the voter registration deadline to become eligible to participate in that election is October 5, 2026. October 5, 2026, is also the deadline for any voters who need to update their addresses if they have moved.
Updating your address can be just as important as registering to vote for the first time, especially concerning local elections. If you’ve moved to Nacogdoches from another county, you definitely need to update your voter registration information. If you’ve moved within the county and you do not update your voter registration information by the October 5, 2026, deadline, you may not be able to vote in specific precinct-level or district-level contests where candidates are running to represent the new area you’ve moved to.
