Graveside service for Charles “Chuck” Hardin, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10th, 2026 at Simpson Campground Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Wilson officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10th, 2026 at Laird Funeral Home.
Charles was born and raised in the best part of the world, according to him. He was a typical boy raised by loving parents and siblings that he shared many adventures with as they grew up. Chuck, as most knew him was fun-loving, hard-working and dedicated to his family. He loved those closest to him with a heart as big as the state of Texas and would give everything he had to ensure they were taken care of. He spent his time working, but when he wasn’t he thoroughly enjoyed his time outdoors. There were many hours around Lake Sam Rayburn looking for arrowheads or simply riding the country roads on his motorcycle. Chuck was a simple man who gave his all to those he loved. He was always around if someone needed his help and he was happy to do it. His family was most important to him and his granddaughter was his “pumpin” and he was “Pa” to her, but they were instant enemies when a game of darts or pool came up. Having a family that supported him, including his mom and dad, was something he took very seriously and he found great happiness when they were all with him. However, you better be hungry any time he was around because he had an appetite that was never satisfied. He also found great joy in loving Coco, his granddaughter’s dog (so she liked to think).
Chuck is survived by his parents, Linda and Charles Hardin, Sr.; grandchildren, Kandi Hardin & Brayden and Bryce McAuthur; great grandson, Landrey Watson; brothers, Anthony Hardin & wife Nancy and Kevin Duncan Hardin and longtime friend, Tammy Jackson and her children, Brooke Jackson and Beth Jackson who he loved as his own.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kacie Hardin and siblings, Charles Wayne Hardin, Lucy Lambert, and Michael Hardin.
Serving as pallbearers are Glenn Burks, David Loving, Brayden Watson, Ricky Harbor, Billy Husband, and Cody Sledge.
