Buchanan Wealth Management Advisors Bring Leading Industry Insights to Nacogdoches

Nacogdoches, TX – Wendy Wyatt Buchanan, AAMS®, AWMA® and Daniel Reid, CRPC® met with FiNet leaders and presenters at the Chicago FiNet Connect Conference to glean financial and tax strategies to enhance their customers’ financial plans and goals.

To better serve Buchanan Wealth Management clients, the pair attended special continuing education sessions to learn about the tax benefits of direct indexing compared to exchange traded funds and 2024 tax planning strategies. Buchanan and Reid also gathered current information about technology updates for investing and working with the wealthy.

FiNet is a platform for independent advisors to run their own businesses with access to resources and support from Wells Fargo. Wendy and Daniel were among the 125 representatives from 25 states in Wells Fargo Advisors’ Central Division in attendance at the May 22-23 conference held at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile.

Buchanan met with John Treys, President of FiNet, and Erik Karenic, Head of Independent Solutions for Wealth & Investment Management. She and Reid heard from financial experts such as Sean Steinlage, FiNet Division Leader, Michelle Staed, FiNet Divisions Business Manager from Texas, and Kirk Williams, FiNet Division Support Manager.

Outside of scheduled meetings, Buchanan and Reid visited popular Windy City sites, including dining at Steak 48 and attending a Cubs game at Wrigley Field.

With 36 years of financial experience, Buchanan assists individuals and businesses with their long-term financial goals. She helps clients focus on estate and investment planning and collaborates with attorneys and tax professionals in developing each individual plan. Buchanan is FINRA Series 7 and Series 65 registered and holds the professional designations of Accredited Asset Management Specialist and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor.

Reid spent eight years with Texas Farm Bureau before joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2015 and transitioning to Buchanan Wealth Management in 2021. He started as a Client Associate, became a Financial Consultant, holding the Series 7 and 66 registrations, and is now a Financial Advisor and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC™) with Buchanan Wealth Management. He works to provide clients with the highest level of financial and insurance services.
