Amanda (Andi) Michelle Kasner was born on January 5, 1988, in Houston, Texas to Melinda and Paul. Amanda went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Gilbert; grandfather, David “PaPa” Ray Capps. Amanda is survived by her daughters, Jeslyn Moralez, Emmie Kasner, and her son, Dylan Kasner; her parents, Kevin “Daddy-O” and Melinda Bandy; grandparents, Gloria and Walace Seely; her sisters, Amber Touchet and husband, Don, Connie Gilbert, and Dana Ko and husband, Hyon Tel. Amanda leaves behind aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. We thank her close friends, especially Destinee and Zelma for giving love, laughter and sisterhood to Amanda. And to Nic, thank you for loving Amanda and helping her on this journey of life.

Amanda taught herself how to quilt and launched her first business, Rustic Love Quilts. Ruby Fabric Company, named after her beloved pup, came next. Andi’s Pie of the Month Club was her most recent passion. She graciously juggled her hobbies, family and being a manager at The Tasting Room at the Vine. A role she filled with grace, strength, and a deep sense of care. Her presence brought warmth and steadiness. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and at ease that left a lasting impression on people she knew. But her heart was being a mother, a daughter, and loving all her sisters. Towards her community, she was a pillar of service as a baker of pies, a quilt designer, a fabric provider, and a dear friend and giver to all who had a need.

Amanda had a love for the simple things in life-sunsets, wildflowers, pretty glass jars, and beautiful fabrics. She poured her heart into everything she did—from quilting beautiful works of art, to tending to her beloved garden, to baking pies that brought people together. Amanda’s happy place was being curled up with a book and her pup, Ruby, at her side. Her joy was watching her children at many special events and watching them achieve all their accomplishments.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nicolas Mager, Jacob Dillon, Mason Dillon, Eric Capps, Hyon Tel Ko, and Colton Murray.
