Obituary
William Lujan, 91, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2023, in Nacogdoches. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with internment at Moral Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Laird Funeral Home with Rosary at 6:00pm.
William was born in Douglass, Arizona to Frank and Frances Lujan on June 17, 1948. He was married to his wife, Carolyn for 39 wonderful years. He met Carolyn in Tyler, Texas on January 14, 1984, and they have been together ever since. He attended Prescott Arizona ISD and then the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virgina. William served in the Police force for a total of 32 years; 6 years in New Mexico, and after 26 years of serving his community, he retired as Chief of Police of Nacogdoches. He enjoyed traveling and camping, but his passion was saltwater fishing. He enjoyed mowing, mechanics, and working in his shop. He is known to his friends and family as “Pops.” He was a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus. He was also involved with the Rotary Club, Lions Club, Chambers of Commerce, and the Food Bank at Sacred Heart.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Jennifer Duncan, Sean Lujan, James and wife Tammy Fincher; grandchildren, Dalton Fincher, Cloe Parra, Olivia Parra, Blake Fincher, Brandon Fincher, and Kradynn King.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Frances Lujan; daughter, Yvonne Rivera, and son, Michael Fincher.
