Obituary
Wanda Jo Garrison Thornburgh, the seventh of eight children, and her twin brother were born July 3, 1938 in Quitique (sounds like “kidykway”), Texas to Otis and Carrie Garrison. She passed from this life on Sunday, September 4, 2022 in Nacogdoches, Texas.
She was married to Karrl Dean Thornburgh on December 24, 1955 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in July, 1999.
They were the parents of four children, Karla Christopher & husband, Dwain, Karen Patton, Steven Thornburgh & wife, Wendi and Dominick Thornburgh; Wanda is also survived by her grandchildren, LaWanda Rushing, Angela Hendrix, Jeff Charon, Kyla Hicks, Robert Patton, David Patton, Michael Patton, Steve Thornburgh, Jr., Justin Thornburgh and Josh Thornburgh; 26 great grandchildren & 3 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, six siblings and four great grandchildren.
Wanda was a loving christian woman, dedicated to living her life for Jesus. She was a dedicated member of Bible Missionary Church for over 60 years.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff Charon, Robert Patton, David Patton, Michael Patton, Steven Thornburgh, Justin Thornburgh and Joshua Thornburgh.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Thomas Cemetery with Bro. Blake Shaw and Bro. Reuben Paul officiating.
