Veteran Stand Down- Vendor and Event Information

Good Morning! 

We are two days away! Thank you to everyone for helping plan and pull this event together, without you this would not be possible, and I appreciate everything you have done!! 

Location: Walmart – 4810 North St
Event Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Vendor Setup Begins: 7:30 AM

Vendors: Please plan to bring your own canopy, table, chairs, and any supplies you may need for the day. We also recommend bringing weights to secure your canopy. Vendor spaces are not pre-assigned. Upon arrival, a volunteer will be available to direct you to the designated vendor area where you can choose your setup spot. For safety, the event area will be blocked off, and no vehicles will be allowed inside. If you need assistance unloading your items, please contact a staff member and a volunteer will be happy to help. Vendors may begin packing up at 3:00 PM. 

Please note:

  • This is a rain or shine event
  • Generators are not permitted
  • Selling of items is not allowed

If you are donating supplies and would like to bring them to the Nac-Can office for storage prior to the event, please call or text Melissa at 936-615-7773.

If you have volunteered to help transport supplies from the Nac-Can office to the event the morning of, please text Melissa as well. We will meet at the Nac-Can office at 7:00 AM to load and transport all supplies to the event.

Volunteers: Please check in at 7:30 AM. A brief meeting will follow. If any questions or situations arise during the event, your point of contact will be Tyler, Ryleigh, or Melissa.

Restrooms will be available inside Walmart.

Brief timeline of event: 9:00 AM – Posting of the Colors, followed by a moment of silence in honor of the service members who made the ultimate sacrificePancake breakfast to follow11:30 AM – Lunch begins (served until food runs out)Snacks and refreshments available throughout the dayGames and family activities available all day
