The Lamp-Lite Players continue their 52 Season of “New” Classics with their production of The Lion in Winter, by James Goldman, November 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2024, 7:30 pm and November 3 and 10, 2024, 2:00 pm. Audience Preview Night is Thursday, October 31, 2024, 7:30 pm. All tickets are $5.00. Love, hate, politics, threats, intrigue, inheritance, conspiracies, egos, and ambition make for a dramatic Christmas 1183. Henry II brings his family together, even releasing his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine from prison for the occasion. Navigating through the plots and ambitions of his wife, his sons, and the French King Philip, an aging King Henry attempts to determine his
legacy. Members of the cast include Jamie Couch, Roz Couch, Todd Phillips, Kevin Helmer, Cristoban Morones, Jason Couch, and Candyce Wagnon. Bill Small directs the play. Trae Norman serves as assistant director. Due to the themes of the play, it is recommended for audiences 16 and older.
