On September 17, 2026, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Respiratory Care temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas respiratory care practitioner certificate of Mark Elliott Ayers, RCP (Lic. No. RCP02001253), after determining his continuation in the practice of respiratory care poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that Mr. Ayers was arrested for Possession with Intent to Promote Computer Child Pornography Under 18, 10 or More Depictions, a 2nd degree felony, and Possession with Intent to Promote Child Pornography Under 18 years of Age, a 3rd degree felony.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days’ notice to Mr. Ayers unless the hearing is specifically waived by Mr. Ayers.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the Board takes further action.
