May 31, 1944 – June 7, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Fogle, who left us peacefully on the morning of June 7th in Nacogdoches, Texas. Terry was born May 31, 1944 in Camden, Arkansas to Edwin and Sadie Fogle.
A man who could light up any room with his humor and warmth, Terry, was truly one of a kind. He had a rare gift for finding joy in any moment and never missed the chance to make someone laugh—even in the toughest of times. His sense of humor was more than just a personality trait; it was a source of strength, comfort, and connection for all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Terry was also known for his deep love of music and singing. Whether he was lifting his voice in the church choir at First United Methodist Church, humming a tune around the house, or leading songs at The Treatment Center, he carried a song in his heart every day of his life. His singing brought joy not only to himself but to everyone around him, becoming yet another way he shared his light with the world.
He inspired those around him simply by being himself—genuine, kind, and always ready with a quick joke or a helping hand. He believed deeply in the power of laughter and music, and used both to bring people together and lift spirits.
He built a fulfilling career with International Paper Company, where he worked with dedication and pride until his retirement in 1999. In his free time, he found great joy on the golf course at Woodland Hills and Diamondhead in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he combined his love of the game with his love of good company and sunshine.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Sue Fogle; his loving children Susan Harrison, Randy and wife Laura, Four grandchildren; Jamie Wood (Chad), Justin Jones (Kelsey), Timothy Fogle and Joshua Fogle, eight great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Clay Wood, Adalia, Breanna, Jameson, Cassidy, Dallas, and Georgia Jones; brother Joe Fogle (Marcella) and sister-in-law Judy Fogle. His legacy of humor, music, resilience, and warmth lives on in each of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and countless lives he touched.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Jerry Fogle and infant brother, Larry.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11:30 am at Memorial Park Cemetery, 759 Maul Rd., Camden, Arkansas, 71701. A gathering for lunch after the service will be held at Fairview United Methodist Church fellowship hall, 2603 Mt. Holly Rd, SW. Camden, Arkansas 71701.
Pallbearers will be Justin Jones, Billy Fogle, Timothy Fogle, Joshua Fogle, Chad Wood, and Randy Fogle.
Though he may no longer be with us in body, his laughter still echoes in our memories, and his song carries on in every heart he inspired.
