Obituary
Susan Marie Newcomb, also known as Momma Sue, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on August 20, 2022 at the age of 66. She was born to Emil and Ethel Truman in Florence, CO on May 28, 1956.
Many know her as a faithful attendee at Christian Life Center, as the smiling face behind the service desk at the Nacogdoches Wal-Mart or simply as mom or grandma to all who wanted or needed a mom. If not found at work or volunteering at her church, she could be found talking to her grandson about soccer, or catching the latest sermon by her son or song by her daughter in law in New Mexico, or simply hanging out with her cat Sammie working on crafts.
Susan is survived in death by her son, Christopher Newcomb and wife Amanda with their kids, Kaitlyn, Aurora, and Trent; son, Rev. Justin Newcomb and wife Casey; sisters, Tammy Carnes and Renee; brothers, Douglass, Dennis, Terry and Mark; and so many friends that treated her as their own family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Newcomb; parents, Emil and Ethel Truman; and brother, David.
Even though failing health took her away from this world, her loving heart left a beacon of light for all that knew her. She was a blessed woman, beloved by many and touched those around her more than she could ever know.
A memorial celebration will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Christian Life Center, 2604 North Stallings Drive in Nacogdoches officiated by Pastor Bailey Alders.
