Services for Stephanie Danielle Baker, 43, of Nacogdoches will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, Texas on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 1:00pm.  The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00pm – 1:00pm prior to the service.

Stephanie passed away on December 21, 2023 in her home, surrounded by her family, after her battle with cancer.

Stephanie was born on September 4, 1980 to Rocky Reneau and Kathy Wallace of Nacogdoches Texas.

She was a loving wife, extraordinary mother, caring daughter, amazing sister and a beautiful friend.  She was selfless, always thinking of others.  She was kind, smart, determined and a hard worker.  She began working as soon as she was old enough with babysitting jobs, which was great for her because she loved children.  After that, she had numerous jobs…sometimes more than one at a time, all while going to high school and eventually on to college.

Stephanie graduated from Douglass ISD in 1999 as Salutatorian of her class.  After graduation, she went on to study Elementary Education at Angelina College and then transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University where she completed her studies and received her Bachelors in Education in 2006.

On March 12, 2005 she married the love of her life, Randy Baker.  Stephanie had always longed to be a mother but struggled with infertility. God had other plans for her motherhood.  In 2008, Evie Mae, Stephanie’s cousin came to live with them.  Stephanie and Randy loved her as their own and eventually became her legal guardians.  Then on January 28, 2011 they were blessed with their second child through adoption, Brookelyn Grace.  Stephanie was a devoted mother and loved both girls so well.  With her education background, she decided to homeschool her girls.  Her desire was to give them the best education she could all while teaching them to love the Lord first and foremost.

Stephanie was a born-again child of our Lord and King Jesus Christ.  She was a longtime member of Appleby Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord.  She grew in the Lord and developed a radiating spirit that would light up the room; her zest for the Lord was infectious.  She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing to glorify and praise the Lord.  She also used her gift of education and loving children by teaching a children’s Sunday school class for many years.  She had the presence of the fruit of the Spirit in her daily walk with the Lord.  She loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart.  Even at the end with all the pain and suffering, her faith never wavered, always thanking the Lord and trusting in His will.  She was a blessing to all that came into her life and she will be greatly missed.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Edsel Joyner; paternal grandfather, Billy Reneau and her brother-in-law, Donnie Baker.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Baker of Nacogdoches; daughters, Evie Moran and Brookelyn Baker of Nacogdoches; mother, Kathy Wallace and husband Stephen of Nacogdoches; father, Rocky Reneau and wife, Kim of Nacogdoches; mother and father-in-law, Joann and Robert Baker of Nacogdoches; sister, Amanda Hilliard and husband, Jameson of Lufkin; brother-in-law, Jerry Baker and wife Sylvia of Nacogdoches; sister-in-law, Chrystal Medley and husband Chuck of Nacogdoches; step sisters, Katelyn Wilburn and husband Matt of Nacogdoches, Jade Harrell and husband Wade of Pensacola, FL, Paige Wallace of Memphis, TN, Natalie Stowe of Nacogdoches; step brother, Nathan Stowe of Nacogdoches; nieces, Kate Baker, Savannah Baker, Annalyn Hilliard and Kendelyn Medley; nephews, Mason Baker and Parker Hilliard; step nephews, Landon and Easton Wilburn; maternal grandmother, Mary Joyner of Magnolia, TX and paternal grandmother, Faye Reneau of Nacogdoches and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and church family.
