Shirley Germany Obituary
Funeral services for Shirley Jean Germany, 86, of Alto will be Saturday, June 7, at 10 AM in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Alto with Rev. Randy Sturrock and Rev. Ralph Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Palestine Cemetery. Mrs. Germany passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in Rusk. She was born May 11, 1939 in Alto to Wilmer E. French and Katie Ann Waters French. Shirley lived most of her life in Alto and was a member of the River Church in Alto. She had worked as a clerk for Texas Parks & Wildlife at the Mission Tejas state park in Weches. Shirley also worked at the Continental State Bank in Alto and sold Mary Kay products. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald Pat Germany, infant daughter Tammy Lynn Germany, brother Charles Wilmer French and sister Mary Ann Nerren. Shirley is survived by daughters Tina Bobbitt (Wayne) of Huntington and Terri Sturrock (Randy) of Alto, son Tim Germany (Sherry) of Alto, brother Roy Don French (Debra) of Huntington, sister Barbara Wells (Billy) of Marthaville, Louisiana, grandchildren Ralph Johnston (Andrea), Shannon Flowers (Jerry), Nathan Johnston (Tori), Brandi Bing (Doug), Timmy Germany (Trisha), Angie Aldava (Joe), Christopher Bobbitt (Monica), Kati Jones (Billy), Aubrey Sturrock (Sheena) and David Sturrock (Meagan), great grandchildren Sean, Tyler, Blaze, Aliza, Neal, Rachel, Jacob, Scotty, Trent, Regina, Jake, Trey, Allie, Natalie, Kynzie, Hali, Baylee, Raylon, Holdon, Ashton, Brodie, Josie, Mark, Rand,Raymie, River, Ford and Jamye and 13 great great grandchildren. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.The family will receive visitors from 9 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
