Shirley Bowden Obituary
Shirley Derrett Bowden of Bozeman, MT moved to heaven on July 11th, 2025. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Misty and son-in-law, Jim of Manhattan, MT. Shirley leaves behind grandsons Thomas (Nikita) O’Leary of Goldsboro, NC, and Conor O’Leary of Belgrade, MT. Shirley also leaves behind her loving brother, Joe Derrett of League City, TX, and her dear cousin Martha Williams of Lufkin, TX, plus many friends and family whom she held dear. Shirley is a native Texan who followed her only daughter from her long-time home in Rusk, TX first to Castle Rock, CO in 2010 then to Montana in 2012. She loved her family and enjoyed a close and loving relationship with many years of sweet memories. Shirley lived in Belgrade, MT for several years, then enjoyed life in Churchill, MT before spending her final years at Gallatin Rest Home, Bozeman, MT, where she received exceptional and loving care from the wonderful staff there. Shirley was first and foremost a Daughter of the King, and her love for her Savior was the most evident thing people saw and felt when meeting and talking with her.
Shirley will be laid to rest near her parents and extended family at Shiloh Cemetery in the city of her birth, Alto, Texas.
