NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The SFA softball team will host South Dakota State for a double header, here in Nacogdoches, Texas. The first game will begin at 11:00 a.m. on February 15th, followed by game two at 1:30 p.m.

A Look at SFA
SFA is coming off a 3-2 road trip. Taking three wins over Lafayette College and two losses to Lousiana-Lafayette. The Lumberjacks put together two dominant 5th inning run rules, against Lafayette College. They won game two 8-0 and game three 12-0. Stellar pitching from Alexis Telford and Sophie Hannabas kept the Leopards scoreless in their last two matchups. SFA was also able to make short work of Lafayette College, as they kept the bats hot. Madison Nguyen was the highlight for the Lumberjacks offensively. She was also assisted by Mackenzie Bennett and Lexi Benson who had home runs, in game two against the Leopards. Camryn Middlebrook, Sydnee Hebert, and Mackenzie Bennett all had an impressive game three against the Leopards, posting three RBIs each.
A Look at South Dakota State
The Jackrabbits are coming off a 2-0 win over Northwestern State. The Jackrabbits pitching is headlined by Shannon Lasey and Tori Kniesche. Kniesche completed three scoreless appearances in the Jackrabbits’ opening weekend of play and was named the TicketSmarter Co-Peak Pitcher of the Week. She didn’t give up a run in 16 combined innings and is off to a 2-0 start. Mia Jarecki, Emma Osmundson, Allison Yoder, and Jocelyn Carillo will all look to make offensive contributions for the Jackrabbits.
