NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Athletics Department is looking to add public address (PA) announcers and National Anthem singers (soloist, duets, trios, groups etc.) to its game day database for select sports for the 2024-25 academic year. We would like to expand our contact list for when anthem singers and PA are needed.
To audition for the position of a PA announcer, submit a recording of game announcements.
To audition for the position of a National Anthem singer, submit a recording of your performance of the National Anthem.

- First and last name
- Phone number
- Previous performing experience
Benefits
- Anthem Singer Only: 2 complimentary tickets to corresponding game
- PAs only: Compensation will be on a per game basis, rate to be determined by sport
PA Desired Qualifications
- Strong vocal talent
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (evenings and weekends required)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the assigned sport and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent verbal communication skills and professional approach to game days
- Ability to take constructive feedback and direction
- Experience announcing athletic events at the collegiate, high school and/or professional level
General Responsibilities of PAs
Ability to work under pressure and remain calm and on-brand in all situations
Create an unforgettable and entertaining experience for fans during home games
Work closely with marketing staff to ensure proper execution of pre-game and in-game entertainment, including but not limited to: contests and promotions, sponsorship fulfillment, team introduction and other duties as assigned
Ability to work with a diverse crew for proper delivery of elements including game producer, marketing interns, audio staff, etc.
Familiarity with the team roster for assigned sports prior to the season
