| Dear friends, We hope you’ll join us tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church for a special evening of music featuring singer-songwriter Christie Cook. Christie’s heartfelt songs explore themes of faith, love, humor, and everyday life. Whether she’s performing Christian-themed pieces or storytelling ballads, her music offers comfort, encouragement, and inspiration to all who listen. Originally from Minnesota, Christie’s passion for music and language led her to earn degrees in piano performance, Spanish, and French, followed by a Master of Arts in Spanish. While raising her two daughters—both talented fiddlers who often joined her on stage—she balanced family life, teaching, and a vibrant music career. Over the years, she has released seven albums and many singles, including favorites like Armor of God, Door to Heaven, and Abide. Her instrumental piano album, Fare Thee Well, highlights her talent as a composer. This fall, Christie spent a month recording new material in a studio in Maine. Tonight’s concert will feature several of these brand-new singles, giving guests an early listen to her latest work.The concert will be held at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 324 S. Lanana Street. Tickets are $10, or $5 for seniors and students, and can be purchased at the door (cash or check only) or online at Eventbrite.com. Seating is open.
