Funeral services for Ronterreal Mumphrey, 45, of Alto will be Saturday, November 4, at 1 PM at the Alto High School Gym with Rev. Harvey Parker officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery near Alto. Ronterreal passed away Saturday, October 28 in Tyler. He was born March 11, 1978 in Rusk to Johnny Skinner and Linda Mumphrey Skinner. He lived most of his life in Alto and graduated from Alto High School in 1997. He was a member of the Weeping Mary Baptist Church. Ronterreal received a track scholarship to Prairie View A&M University and later attended Truck Driving School. He had worked as a truck driver as well as working at Westcraft, Rusk State Hospital and currently Dupco. Ronterreal loved music, dancing and fixing things. He had a smile that would light up a room. He was preceded in death by Father Johnny Skinner, grandparents Felton Mumphrey Sr., Zeffie D. Mumphrey, Tressie Brooks and Pooch Washington, uncle Felton Jr. Mumphrey and nephew Devonte Mumphrey. Ronterreal is survived by wife Wilma Mumphrey, Mother Linda Skinner, son Rashawn Mumphrey, step-son Steven Matthews, step-daughters Qantasia Matthews, Ieshia Wells and Dasia Matthews and sister Tiffinie Mumphrey (Leroy) and brother Javonettie Mumphrey (Shameka). There will be a visitation Friday, November 3 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Alto.
