Reba Fay Howard, 88, of Wells, TX, passed away on October 15, 2023.
Reba was born in Wells, TX to Chester and Hattie Jones on October 22, 1934. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Her hobbies were crocheting, sewing, Women’s Bible Study and VBS at Calvary, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading and bingo with her best friends. She loved God, her boys, her family, her garden, and her church family. She was a caring woman. Reba spent her life as a caretaker for her family, from her parents to her boys.
Reba is preceded in death by her husband George Howard, her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, brothers Earl Dean Jones, Joe Kenneth Jones, Bobby Mack Jones, sister Barbara Ann Jones, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, great grandson Daniel Weston Redd, and daughter-in-law Margie Redd.
Reba is survived by her children, Jackie and Ashley Redd, Ray Redd, Paul Redd, Joe Earl Redd, Eli Redd, Lloyd Redd all of Wells, TX; grandsons, Roger and Melissa Redd of Pollok, TX, Cody and Amber Redd of Alto, TX, Jacob and Wynette Redd of Wells, TX, Todd and Kayla Bullock of Carlise, TX, Kade Redd, Kylan Redd, Joseph Redd, Daniel Redd all of Wells, TX; granddaughters, Erica and Mauricio Rubio of Baytown, TX, Chassidy Redd of Wells, TX, Jessica Redd of Huntington, TX and Hattie Redd-Patterson of Wells, TX; brother, Donald Jones of Lufkin, TX; sisters, Ila Jeanetta (Jones) Trevathan of Onalaska, TX; former daughter-in-law, Felinda Redd; special friend, Patricia and Bill Barfield; 26 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00pm – 8:00pm Thursday, October 19, 2023, at O.T. Allen and Son Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Friday, October 20, 2023, at O.T. Allen and Son Funeral Home with Brother Grant Hanes of Calvary Baptist, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Wells, TX.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Redd, Roger Redd, Cody Redd, Kylan Redd, Braden Trapp, and Trent Beathard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kade Redd, Joseph Redd, and Daniel Redd.
