Obituary
Randall “Randy” Scott Fancher passed away July 11, 2024 in Nacogdoches, Texas at the age of 62. He was born to parents Hurbert Fancher and Jean (Linthicum) Fancher in Nacogdoches, Texas on April 29, 1962.
Randy was known to those who loved him the most as Papa, Hoss, Bull, and Yaya. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His most cherished past times were fishing, playing cards, playing 42, and cooking BBQ. He never cooked small, and if you ever left hungry it was your own fault. Randy loved spending time on the golf course with his daughter, Lauren, and working in the garden with his “Lilly Bug”. Family was the center of Randy’s life. He loved cooking at big family gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas and watching the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Randy loved the Lord with all his heart. He served the Lord with an unwavering steadfast dedication showing enough fruit of the spirit to lead anyone around him to Jesus. Sherry, Lauren, Lilly, Weston, and Richard are thankful for all of the time and memories Randy has given to them.
He was preceded by his parents; son, Logan Fancher; sister, Linda Pierce; and brother, Nell Howell.
Randy is survived by his wife, Sherry Fancher of Nacogdoches, Texas; daughter, Lauren Bates and husband Weston, and grandbaby Lilly of Nacogdoches Texas, and daughter, Wenston Boney of Denver, Colorado; sister, Shelia Cousins and husband Robert; sister, Jan Fancher; aunt, Patsy Weems; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home in Nacogdoches. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Cason Monk-Metcalf officiated by Pastor Joe Ward. Burial will be in Martinsville Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Tarver, Jarron Howell, James McDonald, John Ward, Brady Ward, and Casey Pierce.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, the First Church of Nazarene, 211 SE Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches 75964.
The funeral services are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors.
