The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Piney Woods Service Association and the Lower Neches Valley Authority (LNVA) are delighted to announce the successful construction of Veterans Hall in Magnolia Ridge Park on B.A. Steinhagen Reservoir. Veterans Hall is the result of a dedicated partnership, working hand-in-hand to restore vital public recreational opportunities that had previously been lost at the reservoir.
“This facility is a testament to what we can accomplish when federal, regional, and local organizations unite with a shared vision,” said Floyd Boyett, Retired Town Bluff Lake Manager. “Veterans Hall not only restores access to our beautiful reservoir, but it does so in a way that pays lasting tribute to those who have served our country.”
The 1,800-square-foot facility is proudly dedicated to all members of the Six Service Branches of the United States Armed Forces. Designed to host community gatherings, family events, and civic meetings, Veterans Hall features:
• Comfortable indoor seating for up to 75 guests.
• Full climate control (air conditioning and heating) for year-round comfort.
• A fully equipped kitchen and modern restroom facilities.
• A spacious back porch and an outdoor fire ring, perfect for evening gatherings.
• Full ADA accessibility, including a dedicated sidewalk extending directly to the water’s edge.
The completion of Phase 1 is just the beginning of a grander vision for Magnolia Ridge Park. Subsequent development phases are already planned, which will introduce a lakefront dock along the reservoir’s shoreline alongside other accompanying recreational facilities.
Veterans Hall will officially open for public reservations starting January 2027. Reservations can be made online via recreation.gov. Rental fees collected will be directly reinvested into the operation, maintenance, and preservation of the facility.
