Obituary
Phillip Earl Jordan was born on March 31, 1947 to Johnnie &
Allie Jordan. Phillip departed this earthly home on January 24, 2023. Survived by wife Rosalind Mosby Jordan, son Kalan Jordan and granddaughter Harleigh Ann Jordan, and fiancé Katheryn Matlock; daughter Maggie Jordan; and son Randy Jordan, granddaughter Skylar Barrett and grandson Tanner Jordan and great-grandson Logen Barrett; sister Martha Vann of Louisiana, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Johnnie & Allie Jordan Wilburn, sister Lola Harris and brothers
Marlin Jordan and Paul Jordan.
Phillip grew up in the Swift Community and went to school at Martinsville and graduated from Chireno High School. Phillip volunteered for the Army and served in Vietnam. He attended Massey Business College in Nacogdoches and attended
Jacksonville Baptist College. He was employed by the United States Post Office in Nacogdoches as a letter carrier for 34 years. Phillip retired in March of 2002. He enjoyed working on old vehicles, raising cows and Shetland ponies, and driving down old country roads just to go sight-seeing.
Phillip and his family served as a seed family to help start Hwy 259 Baptist Church (Trinity Baptist Church) in Pleasant Hill
under the direction of Bro. Travis Lunsford.
Phillip enjoyed being outside and last few years enjoyed sitting in his rocking chair on the front porch and talking to his dogs. His children will remember their dad with great fondness and love.
