The Nacogdoches Police Department is participating in Operation Slowdown, a statewide enforcement effort supported by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). From July 18 to August 3, 2025, our officers will be increasing patrols and focusing on speed enforcement throughout the city.
Our goal: reduce dangerous driving and prevent crashes before they happen.
Speeding is one of the leading causes of serious and fatal crashes in Texas. Every mile over the speed limit increases the risk to you, your passengers, and everyone around you.
This enforcement effort is about protecting our community. Our officers will be actively monitoring for speeders and unsafe driving behaviors in high-traffic areas. We’re committed to keeping our roads—and our families—safe.
