One charged in child sexual assault case

NACODOCHES COUNTY, Texas – A Nacogdoches County man was arrested Friday on a felony charge for the sexual abuse of a minor.
Jose Luis Villalobos, 67, was booked into the Nacogdoches County jail on a first-degree felony charge for continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 following an investigation by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office.
NCSO investigators were contacted after the victim made an outcry to a faculty member at her school district. The victim alleged the abuse happened at least five times over the past year. Villalobos was booked into the county jail Friday evening, and was released Sunday after posting a
$75,000 bond. Under the Texas Penal Code, a first-degree felony is punishable by between five and 99 years in prison
and a fine up to $10,000. This is an ongoing investigation, and additional charges are possible. The NCSO is grateful for the assistance of school-district officials and Harold’s House employees in this investigation
