Oliver Culpepper Obituary
Oliver Len Culpepper was born at 10:52 a.m. on November 29, 2025, at the Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Houston at 25 weeks and 2 days. He weighed 15.9 ounces. Oliver’s family was blessed with over 4 months with Oliver in the NICU before he went to his heavenly home at 8:41 a.m. on April 9, 2026, at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Although his life was brief, it was beautiful. He was a warrior full of energy and determination. He loved his parents, milk, head massages, music, and cuddling with his octopus, Squiddly Diddly, but not necessarily always in that order. He had a wide variety of musical interests, but he loved classic rock the most. His favorite songs included “Fly Like an Eagle” by the Steve Miller Band, “Pride and Joy” by Stevie Ray Vaughan, and “Baker Street” by Gerry Rafferty. He was his parents’ greatest joy and will be deeply missed.
Oliver was greeted in heaven by his paternal great-grandparents Billy Ray Culpepper, and Gus and Carolyn Morris, and maternal great-grandmother Pat Morgan. He is mourned on Earth by his parents Cody and Chelsea Culpepper of Nacogdoches; dog Ahsoka “Goobis” Culpepper; Paternal Grandparents David and Donna Culpepper; Maternal Grandparents Jason and Jenny Griffin, and Ted and Carla Morgan; Uncle Colton Griffin and his fiancée Katelyn Autin; Paternal Great-Grandmother Ivy Jean Culpepper; Maternal Great-Grandparents Lynn and Sandy Griffin, Linda and Charles Moody, Harry and Pam Morgan. and Paul and Kay Manning as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private service was held on April 10, 2026, in the Marnie’s Garden Room at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
