Nacogdoches ISD’s Parent Resource Fair with the Mexican Consulate on Wheels is set for Aug. 28 through Sept. 1 at the Nacogdoches County Civic Center.
Throughout the week, parent sessions are provided on the following topics:
- ESC Region VII presenting migrant information
- Nacogdoches Public Library showcasing literacy opportunities
- Financial assistance insights from Commercial Bank of Texas
- Alcohol and drug abuse prevention for students
- Nacogdoches ISD programs and services overview
- Recruitment for ESL classes for parents
- Awareness of technology-related dangers
- Understanding the risks of vaping and new law updates
- Discovering the benefits of Bilingual and ESL programs
- Assistance from the Mexican Consulate on Wheels
The Parent Resource Fair with the Mexican Consulate on Wheels will take place noon to 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 28; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday, Aug. 29-31; and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, Sept. 1.
The event is scheduled during school hours to provide parents an opportunity to attend while children are in class.
