Nellie Don Dover, 79, of Alto, passed away on January 11, 2026 in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 31st at 10:00am at Alto Missionary Baptist Church with the Brother Bruce Robinson officiating.
Nellie was born to Monroe and Verliah Peacock on April 15, 1946. She married JC Dover on June 29, 1963 in Weches, Texas. She worked as a school bus driver & teachers aid for Alto ISD for 43 years. She and her husband, JC Dover, were owners and operators of Dover’s Plant Farm in Alto Texas for 50 years. She was the church treasurer for a number of years at Alto Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dover is preceded in death by husband, JC Dover; parents, Monroe & Verliah Peacock; brothers, Doyle Click, Hugh Estes Click, Vernon Click, & Elvin Peacock; sisters, Ann Wilson, La Von Mariott, & Mildred Looney.
She is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Stanley & Kelli Dover of Alto; grandson & wife, Clinton Dover & Lexi Dover of Alto; granddaughter & husband, Savana Soto & Horacio Soto of Alto, great-grand children, Cy Dover, Harlow Dover, Stanton Soto, Drake Dover, & Beau Soto.
Memorials may be given to Alto Missionary Baptist Church or Heavens Stepping Stone Retreat
