Nannie Ruth Scales Mosley, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026.
She was an active in her community throughout her life. She was a dedicated member of Nacogdoches Pilot Club Noon Chapter for 44 years and, in her younger years alongside her husband Bobby Mosley, volunteered with the local Little League Baseball Association, supporting youth sports and the families involved. In recent years, she was a familiar face at the Nacogdoches Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing bingo and formed many lasting friendships. The time she spent there brought her laughter, fellowship, and a community she deeply valued. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
For many years, she worked as Office Manager for Dr. Arlis Hibbard, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and the relationships she built with patients and coworkers.
Her greatest joy was her family. She shared 57 years of marriage with her husband, Bobby Mosley, and together they created a loving home and a strong family legacy that continues through their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
One of the traditions her family remembers most fondly was “Nannie Day.” Every Friday, she picked up her grandchildren and great-grandchildren from daycare and later from school, spending the afternoon with them. These weekly visits became a cherished tradition and created memories that will be treasured for years to come.
She will be remembered for her strong faith, her servant’s heart, and the love she freely gave to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the generations she helped raise and the many lives she touched along the way.
She is survived by her daughter and husband, Kathy and Bobby Perry, Son and wife, Bobby Edward Mosley Jr and Julie. Grandchildren Jeremy Perry and wife Lisa, Beau and Casey Mosley III, Sabrina Mosley, Whitney Wardlaw. Great grandchildren Bryce McLeod, Katie Jones and husband Nathan, Caroline Perry and Hunter Hoffman. Great Great Grandchildren Emery McLeod and Colin Jones. She is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Connie Scales; her husband of 57 years, Bobby Mosley; her brother, Jimmie “Junior” Scales; her sisters, Pauline Duncan, Doris Rusk, and Connie Slay; and her grandsons, Brian David Perry and Gary Wardlaw.
Graveside services for Nan, Mosley, 86 of Nacogdoches will be held at 10am on Tuesday June 16, 2026, at Douglass Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Perry, Bryce McLeod, Nathan Jones, Hunter Hoffman, Carlos Palomo, and Gregg Hoppe.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Laird Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Nacogdoches Pilot Club Noon Chapter.
