We at the Nacogdoches Arts Collaborative know that the show must go on! Despite the heavy rain and area flooding, the Amethyst Ball: Under the Big Top went on as scheduled February 10. More than 130 guests– many in circus costume– enjoyed an evening of fun and entertainment while raising money to support the Collaborative in its mission to create opportunities for local artists in music, dance, theater, the visual arts and creative writing. We are proud to be returning over $1000 to the artists who generously donated their original art to our auction. If you missed the ball, we still have a lovely array of art and jewelry, plus limited edition commemorative T-shirts for sale at our gallery at 411 W. Hospital Street. We’re open most Saturdays 11 AM – 4 PM and by appointment.
Thank you to all our donors, our patrons and our volunteers for their generosity and dedication to helping us raise money for the coming year. We truly appreciate you. Also, special thanks to these sponsors for their generous support: Hightower, Franklin & James, PLLC; Judge Steven Kirkland and Mark Parthie; Jerry Permenter; Austin Bank; Fredonia Brewery; Front Porch Distillery; Susu’s Popcorn; K’s Cookie Jar; Pemberley’s at the Jones House; Fairchild, Price, Haley & Smith LLP; and Sharon and Elton Scifres. We couldn’t have done it without all of you! Thank you for supporting the arts in Nacogdoches.
