Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Marty C. Harper.
We mourn the departure of a remarkable individual who made a significant impact in the lives of those around her. Marty was not just a leader, but also a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to many. Her leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the Etech organization. Marty helped guide many employees through challenges and encouraged many to strive for greatness. Marty was hired at Etech on December 14, 1998, and was a part of the very first training class at Berry Direct which became Etech in June of 2003. She began her career as a Sales Representative, then was promoted to Administrative Support. She wanted to move into leadership and began training and was promoted to Unit Manager Associate and then Unit Manager. She has served in the role of Assistant Sales Coach and Sales Coach where she was known as a leader with energy and humor. She became a subject matter expect as an AOL leader and courageously guided the IMV team. She would have weekly contests for her team which resulted in high-fives, chants, and dancing. She made an impact in the lives of everyone she came to know. Over the years, Marty was nominated for the Valuing People, Humility, and Courage Award. She received the Valuing People Character Commitment Award on two occasions. Marty was 100% committed to giving back. She was always the first to raise her hand to participate and she served on every committee during the seasons of company picnics and summer gatherings. There are so many great memories of Marty. We will all remember her infamous banana pudding, pecan tassies, and peanut butter balls. She would spend hours preparing these tasty treats for company events, celebrations, special gifts, which was just another way Marty showed her love to all. In addition to baking, Marty enjoyed bingo and watching Astro games. We are grateful for the time we’ve had with Marty and for the many contributions. Her legacy will continue to live on through the values she instilled in many. We will remember Marty as a compassionate leader, servant, and friend. May we continue to carry Marty’s enthusiastic spirit in our work everyday life.
