Lynda Greer Obituary

Graveside service for Lynda Kendrick Greer of Nacogdoches will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, March 30th at 11:00am with John Denby officiating and music by Jody Owen.  Lynda passed away after a long battle with an autoimmune disease.  Her daughters were by her side. 

Lynda was born on January 3, 1944 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Will & Ruth Kendrick.  She attended school in Nacogdoches.  She was married to Robert N. Greer for forty years and was the owner of Greer’s in downtown Nacogdoches for 52 years.  She attended First Christian Church in Nacogdoches.  Her favorite thing was baseball.  She was at many games for many years and was her grandsons’ biggest fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Tyane Dietz & husband Don and Temple Rodriguez & husband Gilbert; grandchildren, Courtney Gehrmann, Will Gehrmann, Grayson Rodriguez & wife Madi, Garner Rodriguez and Taylor Rodriguez & wife Hannah; sisters-in law, Jane Ann Kendrick and Sandra Warlick & husband Ken; two brothers-in-law, James Greer and Carl Greer.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and countless friends, classmates and customers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Greer; daughter, Terri Gehrmann and her siblings, Paul Kendrick & wife Patricia, Bill Kendrick and Betty Perry & husband Mike.

The family would like to thank longtime friends and doctor, Dr. Richard Baker, Lizette Krieg and Connie Chatman; as well as the staff of Memorial Hospital, Bomar, Heart to Heart Hospice and Westward Trails.  She received exceptional and loving care from all these individuals.

Serving as pallbearers will be Don Dietz, Gilbert Rodriguez, Grayson Rodriguez, Garner Rodriguez, Taylor Rodriguez, Will Gehrmann, Tom Dudley, Ike Anders, Brent Harris and Rex Perry.  Honorary pallbearers are Perry Skipper and Eddy Owens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church, St. Judes Hospital, Shriners Hospital or the charity of your choice.
