UPDATED – Low Water Pressure – Message from Kathleen Belanger – Nacogdoches City Council Member, Northeast Ward – August 22nd, 2026

Latest Message Received 8-22-2026:

Dear friends,

Thank you all for pitching in to help our water tank in the northeast ward refill. While it will still take a little longer to get the tank water levels where they need to be, you can resume small tasks like washing. However, it will be most helpful if you could wait to water, irrigate, fill pools etc. until Monday.

I won’t be posting any more updates, but your help has been wonderful. Blessings and thanks to all.

By the way, this email list is not monitored daily, so I don’t see your replies right away.  If you need to reach me, either write to my personal email: kbelanger75961@yahoo.com, or call me: 936-552-9395.

Good things,

Kathleen

Dear Friends,

The City of Nacogdoches is experiencing low water levels in the Post Oak tank, and are working to address the issue. However, at this time, the city is requesting that we conserve water until the problem is fixed. I’m adding a map of the area for you, but it includes nearly all of the Northeast Ward. Please help by turning off sprinklers, putting off washing or using minimal water at this time. Please share with your friends and neighbors. I am also asking those of you with neighborhood or subdivision, HOA or other lists to share this message with those in your lists.  It will help immensely as the city fixes things.  I’ll keep you posted!

I’m attaching a map of the affected area.

Thanks very much,

Kathleen Belanger
