Judith Kay (Sorensen) Nauman, age 84, of Nacogdoches passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022 in Nacogdoches. She was born December 13, 1937, in Algona, Iowa to parents Richard Sorensen and Opal (Morlan) Sorensen.
Judy attended cosmetology school early in life, and she later attending nursing school with her daughter at the age of 50. She worked as a beautician, nurse, and homemaker. She was a member of Women’s Aglow and supporter of Christian networks like TBN and CBN.
In 2010, Judy went on her lifelong dream vacation to Israel with her daughter, Kim. She enjoyed Bible study, crocheting, playing piano, painting, singing, and baking. She was always shopping and loved eating out, especially Mexican food!
Mrs. Nauman was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jayne Wingo; husband, Donald Nauman; and granddaughter, Rachel Smalling.
She is survived by her son, Rick Nauman; daughter, Kimberly Smalling; granddaughters, Natalie Smalling, Sarah Hoffman, and Chanel Smith; sisters, Carol Follis and Dianne Ansohn; and several nieces and nephews.
