Joey Van Cooper Smith, age 36, of Garrison, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Joey Van was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on September 19, 1986 to parents, Van Smith and Karon Tidwell Smith.
Joey Van was a welder’s helper. He enjoyed playing golf and loved his children.
He is preceded in death by grandfather, Bud Smith and grandmother, Ethy Tidwell.
Survived by: mother, Karon Martin; father, Van Smith and wife Wonda; wife, Jessica McCann and their three children, Weston, Rhylee and McKenzie Smith; son, Tristan Coil; grandmother, Ceil Gardner; sister, Tonya Brock and husband Kent; sisters, Leslie and Kelly Currie; nieces and nephews, Makayla Dawson, Cooper Hicks, Joseph Brock and David Ray Young.
