Jimmy Doyle Socia, of Nacogdoches, TX, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, surrounded by his children, family, and loving wife of 65 years. Jimmy was born on June 19, 1937, in Timpson, to the Parents’ of Mildred and Lonnie Windham and Paul and Virginia Socia. His family was grateful to have celebrated his 86th birthday on Father’s Day Weekend. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf four days a week and spending time with his family and sweet dog, Max. More than anything, he loved taking care of his loving wife of 65 years, and only wished he had 25 more.

Jimmy was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Piney Woods Country Club. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed attending his Sunday School Class.  All that knew Jimmy, loved him. He had a special way of lighting up any room and will be dearly missed.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Altha Faye Socia of Nacogdoches; Son, Ricky Lynn Socia of Nacogdoches; Daughters, Penny and husband Paul Cain of Carthage, Donna Seegers and husband Mark of Dallas; Son, Rodney Socia and wife Brandy of Carthage; Daughter in Law Vicki Socia; siblings, Kaye Johnson, Pat Traxler, Lonnie Windham, Earl Windham, Richard Windham, Doug Windham, Gerald Windham and Robert Windham; grand children, Spencer and Brittany Cain of College Station, Jeremy Cain of Crystal Beach, Jonathan and Dallas Cain of Lumberton, Nathan and Abram Socia of Lufkin, Shea Williams of The Woodlands, Vanessa and David Whitehead of Nacogdoches, Marcus and Lala Williams of South Carolina, Chance Socia of Nacogdoches, Blake Socia of Beaumont, Sophie Socia of Carthage, Chloe Neuman of Carthage and Clark Neuman of Carthage; great grandchildren, Maddie Grace Cain of College Station, Miles Cooper Cain of Lumberton, Ella Kate Cain of College Station, and Winston Spidle of Lumberton.
