Obituary

Harry V. “Buddy” Kluch was born on December 21, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas to Henry and Mary Louise (Gilbert) Kluch and was raised in Highlands, Texas. He passed away September 20, 2022, in Nacogdoches.

Buddy graduated Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas in 1965 and was drafted by the US Army in 1967. While home on leave, he married the love of his life, Marilyn (Maxwell) Kluch in 1969. Buddy served in Vietnam and is a Purple Heart recipient. When he returned home, they settled down in the Baytown area and worked for the Lubrizol Corporation for 33 years. After retirement, he and Marilyn moved to Nacogdoches, Texas where he spent time with his family, manicured his yard, and faithfully served his church.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and uncle and will be missed terribly by all who knew him.

He is survived by: His wife of 53 years, Marilyn, beloved daughter, Melanie, brother Ronnie (Fredlyn) Kluch, sister Betty (Tommy) Michalsky, brother and sister-in-law Robert (Dennis) Maxwell, brother-in -law, Arthur Maxwell and sister-in-law, Deana Maxwell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his favorite Canadian daughter, Nancy Maguire.
