The City of Nacogdoches is excited to announce the grand opening of the Maroney Park Pickleball Courts. The grand opening celebration will be Friday, February 17th at 11:00 am at the Maroney Park pickleball courts.
Thanks to a generous donation, the old tennis courts were rehabilitated into 12 dedicated pickleball courts. The old Maroney Park tennis courts had not been used for some time as the entire courts were in desperate need of resurfacing. With the addition of these 12 new courts, the
City of Nacogdoches now has 18 outdoor courts, which includes the multipurpose Banita Creek Park courts, and will allow growth for the sport of pickleball.
After the grand opening, Maroney Park pickleball courts will be open for use, 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. Pickleball enthusiasts will now be able to play all day with up to 12 games at one time.
