Obituary

Gary Cleveland, 61, of Nacogdoches, passed away on December 3, 2022, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Visitation will be from 1-2 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Texas

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm immediately following visitation on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, with Pastor Mark officiating.   Burial will follow at McKnight Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dickie Allen Funeral Home.

Gary Cleveland was born in Nacogdoches, Texas to James Ray Cleveland and Euna Cleveland on July 21, 1961.  He went to school at Nacogdoches High School and lived in Nacogdoches for most of his life.  After completing HVAC technician school, Gary had a very entrepreneurial spirit, he ventured out into multiple businesses including convenience stores, and logging and trucking companies.

Gary Cleveland is preceded in death by his parents James Ray Cleveland and Euna Cleveland. He is also preceded in death by his niece Brandy Sherman Garrett.

Gary Cleveland is survived by daughter Heather Holland of Nacogdoches, daughter Whitney Cleveland of Tyler, daughter Hailey Keith and husband Aaron Keith of Friendswood, and son Zachary Cleveland of Nacogdoches. He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Sherman and husband Jerry DeBusk of LaPorte and sister Joann Cleveland and husband Eder Martello Mayorga Morales of Villavicencio, Columbia. He is survived by his two grandchildren, Halle Carden and Kameron Holland, both of Nacogdoches. He is also survived by his great nephew Holden Garrett of Groesbeck.

Pallbearers will be Jerry DeBusk, Jason Davis, Aaron Keith, Holden Garrett, Mirvel Bundrick and Steven Holman. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Rodriguez and John Rodriguez.

Memorials may be given to McKnight Cemetery.
